Double-Link Travel Limit Micro Switch is an automatic control component triggered by mechanical motion. Its core function is to detect the displacement or stroke of an object to achieve the opening and closing of circuits, the start and stop of equipment, or limit protection. It is an indispensable 'safety sentinel' and 'action commander' in industrial automation and electromechanical equipment.
Switch Introduction
The travel switch (also known as a limit switch) is an automatic control component triggered by mechanical motion. Its core function is to detect the displacement or stroke of an object to achieve the opening and closing of circuits, the start and stop of equipment, or limit protection. It is an indispensable 'safety sentinel' and 'action commander' in industrial automation and electromechanical equipment.
Switch Application
In cranes, elevators, and lifting platforms, limit switches are critical safety components:
Elevator Shaft: Upper and lower limit switches are installed at the top and bottom of the elevator shaft. If the elevator loses control and over-travels, the switches are triggered to engage the emergency brake, preventing the car from crashing into the top (overhead) or bottom (pit) of the shaft.
Crane Hook: A limit switch is installed at the upper limit position of the hook's path. When the hook approaches the crane bridge, the switch is activated to cut power to the hoisting motor, thereby avoiding collisions and damage to the equipment.
