LS Series Micro Movement Limit Switch

The travel switch (also known as a limit switch) is an automatic control component triggered by mechanical motion. Its core function is to detect the displacement or stroke of an object to achieve the opening and closing of circuits, the start and stop of equipment, or limit protection. It is an indispensable 'safety sentinel' and 'action commander' in industrial automation and electromechanical equipment.

In equipment such as lathes, milling machines, and machining centers, limit switches are installed at both ends of the machine tool guides or at the extreme positions of the sliding table. When the cutting tool or worktable moves to a preset boundary, the switch is triggered to cut off the motor power supply, preventing overtravel collisions and protecting the tool, workpiece, and the machine tool itself. Examples include the spindle travel limit of a CNC lathe and the left-right movement boundary control of a milling machine's worktable.
