Limit switches are a type of electrical switch primarily used to control the opening and closing of circuits. In the movement path of the joints or end effectors of the robotic arm, limit switches are installed to set "safety positions." For instance, after the robotic arm grasps the workpiece, it needs to move above the specified conveyor belt; upon reaching the preset height and horizontal position, the switch is triggered, causing the robotic arm to stop moving and release the gripper to drop the load. If the robotic arm deviates from its path due to a malfunction and activates the limit position switch, it will immediately halt all actions to prevent collisions with surrounding equipment.
